Pauline Tallent Is Broker/Owner of Tallent & Associates, Realtors, a full service brokerage, doing business at the same location in Winnetka since January 1979, and specializing in all aspects of real estate. Tallent & Associates is home to 17 licensees, some with broker’s licenses and representing such areas as Pasadena, Somis, Inglewood, Santa Clarita Valley, and yes, even a great referral broker in Las Vegas. Tallent has served on the Board of Directors of the Southland Regional Association of Realtors, for many years, and is currently serving on the Board of the Association’s Foundation. Tallent also serves on the Government Affairs Committee, and the Commercial Committee, and is Editor of the Commercial Newsletter.. Tallent was the recipient of the prestigious “Realtor of the Year Award” for the year 2000. In November, 2009, Tallent was awarded the highest honor the Board of Realtors can bestow, Honorary President. In the past 90 years, only 12 recipients have received this honor, Tallent was number 12. In 2010, The California Association of Realtors, in recognition of distinguished service, Tallent was designated Honorary Member-for-life. Also in 2010, the Commercial Division of the National Association of Realtors, presented Tallent with the National Award for outstanding achievement in the Commercial Real Estate Industry Tallent has served on the Board of Valley Vote since it was organized in 1996. In March 2003, Tallent joined the Executive Committee, and is chair of the Land Use Committee. Tallent also serves on the Board of the Economic Alliance. Tallent helped found the Winnetka Community Foundation in April 2004, and currently serves on the Board as Secretary/Treasurer. Tallent has been involved with the Marine Corps "Toys for Tots" program since 1954. Tallent & Associates hold an annual collection of toys in the office. In 2010, the collection was huge. Pauline Tallent also proudly belongs to the United States Marine Corps Combat Correspondents Association, and was recently asked to join their Board of Directors, no small accomplishment, for a former British Army Sergeant (A.T.S.). For 29 years, Tallent served on the Board of Directors of the Winnetka Chamber of Commerce, and three times as President. In the past Tallent has served on the Board of Valley Village for the developmentally handicapped, on the Board of the West Valley Symphony, and on the Board and President of the West Valley Rotary Club. In recognition of many years of volunteering, Pauline Tallent has been, for five consecutive years, honored to be among the five finalists for the prestigious Fernando Award.
